Modelling of Phase Transformations in Steels

The objective of this course is two--fold, firstly to provide a fundamental understanding of solid--state transformation from austenite in steels, and secondly the techniques by which the microstructure can be calculated. It is important that calculations are based on physical mechanisms as far as they are known.
