POSTECH 2010 Matriculation and Bilingual Campus Declaration Ceremony

Matriculation means that the new students agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the Institution, the final step in the admission procedure.

Those with grey hair lead.	These are the masters of ceremony, speaking in unison but in a way that can be appreciated by all in the audience, wherever they come from, even the French.

There was a loud cheer as President Sunggi Baik took the stage.	Sunggi Baik, President of POSTECH, showed a clear way forward for the University to provide international leadership in Science and Engineering.

The President praised the quality of the latest undergraduates who have succeeded in joining POSTECH, via a system that does not rely simply on grade point averages.
	Woo Hyun Paik, Chief Technology Officer of LG Electronics, gave an inspiring speech which explained what might naturally stimulate young minds into creative thinking. And once inspired, the criterion of success is, he explained, the number of human beings who are touched by the concept created.
	The adoption of both English and Korean in all official documents, and the fact that all teaching will henceforth be in English is the meaning of the Bilingual Campus, launched today.
