Steel University Workshop, July 2006

steeluniversity.org is a venture initiated by the International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI) with the aim of providing a web-based, freely accessible and inspiring educational resource on all aspects of steels. A workshop was sponsored by the Korea Iron and Steel Association (KISA) and the Graduate Institute of Ferrous Technology (GIFT) of Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), led by Professors Hae-Geon Lee and Henri Gaye, and Dr Andrew Green. The latter is the Manager of MATTER, which is the key organisation implementing the IISI agenda.

The purpose of the meeting was to initiate the translation of the Steel University resources into the Korean language. The meeting was attended by many Professors from a variety of Korean Universities and a selection of students from the same.

Professor Sung-Mo Jung is now the coordinator of the translation scheme.
